Dolphins, Dragons, and Mardi Gras

George has been stitching out some beautiful work lately.  After he finished my jacket last week, he began on his own hoodie.  It really turned out beautiful.  The back has the Krewe of Nereid with the really detailed design of Nereus on dolphin.  The front has the dragon design.  Last year when George was King of the Mystic Krewe of Nereids, we began calling him King George the Dragon Slayer.  I even bought him a beautiful broach of a rhinestone dragon for his royal sash.  So, it is very appropriate that he included the dragon the front of his jacket.

I believe I mentioned in an earlier post that I saw some jersey scarves on the internet at some hefty prices.  I made this one and added the Mardi Gras designs and some fringe.  Of course, with jersey the fringe will curl up once it is washed and dried, making it look much better.  The pictures really do not do it justice.  The scarf is roughly 2 yards long.

Last evening George's sister spent the night.  She came over from Fairhope to attend a seminar today.  We had the most lovely evening.  I did the boiled shrimp dinner for her and we sat around the table drinking wine and talking late into the evening.  Kathie and I have been friends since we were 12 years old.  It was such a delightful evening.  We definitely need to do this more often.

Yesterday afternoon we received a rush order for one of the Krewe of Drew sweatshirts.  Oh my, we can pop those out in no time at this point.

Be careful on the internet.  I hit a virus while on my big computer and we are still trying to fix it.  It now looks as though we will have to reformat the hard drive.  The good thing about it is that I have been so fascinated with flash drives that last week I copied all of my files from that computer to my flash drive.  So, if we do have to reformat the hard drive, I will not lose anything.  Thank goodness.
